Queso Panela Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 round La Morenita Queso Panela

  • Avocado oil, for frying

  • 2-3 teaspoons taco seasoning

  • Corn tortillas

  • Salsa verde

  • 1 lime

  • Crema

  • Fresh cilantro

Directions

  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add a generous amount of oil, enough for frying the tacos.

  2. Slice the panela into thick slices (about ¼ inch slices).

  3. Sprinkle each slice with the taco seasoning.

  4. Add one tortilla at a time to the frying pan. Cook one side until warm, then flip.

  5. Add the panela and close up the taco, cooking 2-3 minutes per side until each taco is crispy and golden brown.

  6. Top with the cilantro, salsa verde, crema, and squeeze the juice of the lime.
